My "special doctors" were featured by The Hartland Ministry Report in their quartery publications the last quarters of 2005 & 2006.
Dr. Prospero Roda, a general surgeon, had been extremely and seriously ill.
He was suffering from the side-effects of the medications for treatment of pneumonia. He developed kidney failure, full-blown diabetes, and a fibrillating heart. He thought he's out (strike 3) and the end is near.
But all these changed!
From a balooned weight of 210 pounds, he's now down to the 140's and out from the 8 or 9 medications he was taking. Secret? Following the natural rules of health click this 8 health rules he learned from Hartland Wellness Center.
Another physician is Ben. He had cancer of the esophagus. In lieu of chemotherapy and radiation, he choose to go to Hartland Wellness Center. More than ten years since diagnosis, he is still cancer free.

For the past 34 years, I always remember what Uncle Pros told me after our wedding day. "You are now married to Ben meaning you are also married to the family." I thought that was very touching and really felt accepted by the family.
Elma Lou Roda, MD, Blanchie to me and to many friends while in school (PUC) never crossed my mind she would also become my Auntie Lou. Am so blessed we continue to stay very very special friends. When Ben was diagnosed with cancer they were all there for me.
One evening, Auntie Lou spoke to me about Uncle's serious illness. I understood as I had been through the same situation, something that is hard to explain, something we do not learn in school, like experiencing what one is going through. I told her, "I will do the best I know I can," for him and "leave the rest to the Lord."
I told Auntie and Arthur (Ben) to do their part by encouraging him to go to the Hartland Center while I do the arranging.
As expected it was hard (er) and difficult to convince him to go to a non-hospital institution for treatment. That's understandable..being an accomplished surgeon who practiced medicine for almost 40 years and now taking a different route (natural remedies) for himself besides the hospital?
With lots of prayers, understanding and love from his family, he reluctantly agreed, left his practice and admitted himself to Hartland.
Result? A miracle!
At present both uncle and nephew continue to share their experiences to inspire others. Both are back working full-time with better perspective & understanding of their patients.
