Doctor Goes "Natural"

"Ben, I want a booster."

I thought he was trying to tell me that he needed a booster tetanus shot. But, he really meant a "rocket fuel booster," a concoction that can increase the immune system.

My doctor friend came to the OR to show me his bandaged forefinger.

A few days earlier, I noticed that his finger was starting to swell and I told him that infection was setting in. He said that a frayed metal plug he was trying to fix behind his computer poked his finger. The following morning, he woke up with severe excruciating pain.

He went to see his medical doctor who prescribed an antibiotic (cipro) and ordered blood and culture sensitivity tests. The pain did not resolve. He consulted a surgeon who decided to incise and drain the wound and ordered another antibiotic (clindamycin) based on the sensitivity test. He was also taking another kind of antibiotic (cephalosporin) to treat a local armpit infection.

The result of the blood test arrived and the medical doctor noticed his white blood cell (WBC are infection fighters) count was precipitously low at 1,500. The normal count is 4,500-10,500. The doctor was gravely concerned. He immediately referred him to another physician, this time an Oncologist (cancer doctor).

Was there a history of recent viral or chronic infection? Does he have malignancy of the bone marrow? These were some of the questions to be answered.

Blood smear did not show any abnormal finding and the oncologist decided that his bone marrow was severely suppressed by the antibiotics. He advised him to STOP all medications immediately and ordered blood test a few days later.

In the meantime, Esther and I agreed to help this friend (an honor & a privilege). She stayed closeby in town & Gayle did the traveling to visit other people we are helping out.

Esther started him with carrot juice mixed with cabbage, parsely, celery, and sugar beet. Taken four (4) times daily for three (3) days plus the rocket fuel booster. In between juicing a "smoothie" made up of raw honey, blueberry, banana, black & red grapes with seeds, peach & soya milk. Early in the morning, water and lemon juice to start the day.

Local hydrotherapy and debridement are part of the treatment with charcoal poultice at night. Exercise by walking and use of a lot of drinking water to flush the system.

The pain subsequently eased and the swelling started to disappear. The blood test results came back and the WBC increased to 1,800 in a couple of days. Another test was done two days later and the count was up to 2,500. The white blood cell count is still low but we are definitely encouraged by the gradual but progressive increase.

We invited him for lunch yesterday. Esther prepared wild brown rice, organic vegetables, baby broccolli, cabbage, sugar beets leaves and baked sweet potato freshly dug from our garden. she also prepared tofu patties with herbs like garlic, parsely and grounded sunflower & flax seeds.

Folks, my friend's condition is an example of an adverse reaction from the use of antibiotics.

Medications can result to conditions that may do more harm than good. Be sure to read and be informed. Ask your physician before using these powerful & dangerous drugs.

Go for natural cure, if you can and the Lord will do the rest.

*My friend choose to go for Natural Remedies. His wife is out of town (Hawaii) to visit relatives for a couple of weeks. She's arriving home today. He did not tell her about his blood test results because he did not want her to worry while she is gone. We are looking forward to work with her to further boost her husband's immune system.
